Disassembly is very much like any M1911 derivative lacking a barrel bushing. Retract slide, remove slide stop, run slide off frame, remove recoil spring/guide from rear, pull barrel out the front. Frame disassembly is straightforward 1911. Standard 1911 sears will work, and top-grade modern parts will be of better quality than original equipment. I'm not aware of supplies of original Detonics parts; any 1911 hammer will work, and the spur can be reduced to whatever size/shape you want.
