New to Detonics pistols. Always wanted a Pocket 9. I understand they were only made for a few years and were updated and modified during maufacture.

Anyone know in chronological order what updates/ modifications were made and when during the maufacturing period? Serial number breakdown? Is it correct to assume the last Pocket 9's manufactured had the lastest updates/ modifications and ergo would be the most reliable?

How can I tell through inspection if a Pocket 9 is one of the last ones made? Anything else to look for before laying down the cash?

I have no intentions of using this piece for primary carry but would like a nice condition shooter without the frustration of unreliability.
