pistol by a competent pistolsmith. the feed lips are holding the round to long and that is why it nose dives into the feed ramp. the lips need to be opened up a bit to let the round rise sooner to hit the slope of the feed ramp at an upward angle, to follow it into the chamber. you have to time it right though because too loose, and it will rise too soon and it will 'stovepipe' on you. also check the mag spring-if it is weak and doesn't support the round properly at an upward angle as the slide drives it forward, it will nose dive.
