I hope the holiday is why it is slow.

Anyways, I thought I'd post a picture of my pistols. And if you think the lighting is bad in this one, you should see the 10 black squares that I have for pictures on the same camera. I borrowed a digital camera, and I was in a hurry.

The one on the right is a regular old MKVI - still a sleazy gun, but plenty of them out there (in the Detonics community, at least).

The one on the left is the oddball. I bought it from a guy who said it was a MKV, but I'm starting to wonder. The finish is duller than even the frame on the MKVI, certainly not a satin finish, but the finish is still unblemished. It says "Detonics .45" on the slide and on the frame is stamped "New Detonics" "Bellevue, Wa" "CR217xx" and other than the finish, rear sight, and grip screws, it seems to be indentical to the MKVI - which is conveniently marked as "MkVI". A knowledgeable Detonics person told me it was a MC1 when I gave him that description. But, I forgot to mention that the slide is stainless, and I read that the MC1's had blued slides. Oh, yeah, it had a Metalform magazine.

Neither of them has a manual, so if someone could copy me one, that would be mighty kind of you! Also do CMs just not like CCI Blazers?

You guys should post some pictures. For you non-computer experts, http://www.imageshack.us/ was easier than I thought, just click "Choose File" then choose a picture from your computer(up to 850kB) then click "Host it", then copy the URL they give you, it will be the one on the bottom of their page that says "Here is a direct link to your image." and paste it in the "Optional Image URL" field here on Biggerhammer.

I hope some of you can put up some images. I'd love to see some cool Detonics!

-Cliff
