Dont have another 1911 to see, but will the barrel from a detonics fit in any other slides? I always figured less parts equal more reliability. My Detonics has one of the re-weld slides so I'm not shooting it as much as I'd like, I would prefer to slap on a cheap slide for the range, as I don't have the money for a NEW Detonics slide. Appreciate the info guys. Wish I'd of found this site sooner, alot of info on my favorite gun.
