hi,
i'm looking at a MK5 as a carry weapon. it has a serial # of CR190XX & is out of the seattle plant. it's obvious to look at the gun that is has many cast parts(you can see the mold lines).
i know a some about 1911's thanks to uncle sam. but have had not much experence with the detonics.years ago i had a MC2 that was a peice of crap.
i'm not familiar with this CR prefix, is it a caspian frame? it looks to be in good condition & at a decent price. are these decent quailty guns?
also i see in the history on this web site that the early guns were essex frames...when they 1st can out years ago i had heard nothing good about that company... anyone have any knowledge how essex frames have fared in the real world?
many thanks for help!
regards,
cmk
