A collector/gunsmith told me they'll go a coupla hundred rounds, and the lower barrel lugs will shear off. I don't know if he was exaggerating, but that's an awful lot of pressure to absorb/dissipate with an inch of slide travel. Still, I'd love to have a set like that.
