I shot my first half-dozen IDPA matches with my Combat Master. It is not as accurate, nor can I shoot it as accurately as my full-size guns. While I still use the CM for Back-Up Gun stages, I use a 5" .45 in CDP, and a Delta Elite or Hi-Power in ESP. We are going to have a BUG stage at our next match, so I might just shoot the whole match with the CM.

My CM required quite a bit of tweaking, to get it to run right; nothing that isn't common "reliability work" on a 1911, though. It seems to be very sensitive to proper spring rates. I have changed the recoil and magazine springs two or three times, in maybe 1500 rounds.
