I have a MKI with early Colt style barrel and second style hammer. the things that are strange is the ejection port isn't cut/flared out in the same manner as other CMs that I've seen. It is radically opened but does not extend as far down as others. Also this gun has a I stamped about 1/4 inch away from the serial number. The frame is marked Detonics Assoc w/ a 4000 serial#. The slide is marked Pat Pend and the engraved number inside also has the 1 or I in front of it. Is this I or 1 part of the serial number added latter or does it signify a MK I?
