Are you sure there's no address, however faint, just above the serial number on the right hand side of the frame? Very curios. (Maybe even illegal! I don't know that for sure, though).
Anyway, it's a low number, as serial numbers began at 2001. The frame is a cut and weld, and maybe also the slide, (look for welding around the stirrup). The barrel may be a two piece/coned. If it was ever returned for repair, the slide and barrel may have been replaced with "one piece" parts. The lanyard loop on the arched mainspring housing would be authentic for that day and age. You could have a real gem here.
