Also, a guy I work with (at Florida State University) runs a great pro-gun site. Handguncontrol.net - it even has a section on HCI's lawyers demanding he surrender the domain name! If you ever need any "ammo" to deal with the anti-freedom whackos, then this is a fantastic resource - and pretty entertaining, too.

While I work in the College of Medicine, and not the Criminology Department, there is another pro-gunner at FSU, Gary Kleck. And if you aren't already familiar with his work, you should be. Try a Google search of "Gary Kleck" and you'll see what I mean. This guy might be a big-time liberal, but he's a serious scholar, not an idealogue. His position comes from his own scientific research, and not emotional response. He originally set out, through fact (not emotion), to prove that the presence of firearms increases crime, and years of HIS OWN research proved the opposite.
