Time to address the "crease" in the 9mm/39super mags...
There was a specially made pair of Vice-Grip pliars and a "squeezing tool die", so to speak, that were used to convert mags to the smaller calibers.
This was needed to keep the narower rounds centered during feeding.
Don't worry about it.
