I am looking at purchasing a Combat Master for duty "back up" weapon and it will double as a off duty piece as well.
It will be carried in a vest holster.
What do I need to be wary of ?
Any years or number ranges that were poorer than others?
I have located a Blued MK 1 with pachmeyer grips and one magazine serial number is 3982 Detonics Assocc Seattle wa.
It has a bobed hammer and looks to be near new some sharp edged muzzle wear.
I am possibly going to trade a Springfield compact .45 new condition no box
it is not the ultra compact.Along with Remington 870 express teflon/parkerized with rifle sights,20" barrel and magazine extention. Other wise the cash price is $825.00 plus S&H
I was told that this was one of the first 1000 or so made.I am having to rely on email pictures of the piece so it has not been handled yet.
I was told that the early models were made from colt pistols "which i carry on duty now" will colt magazines function properly? It looks very snag free.
I can see it has the early model colt rounded trigger without squared sides looks like a short trigger.
It looks as if its the original finnish the slide and frame match in color.
I have read as much as I possibley could on the net and believe this is the most specialized site for these weapons and I hope to draw on ya lls wisdom!
Is the price to much?
would i be getting a good deal for my trade?
I have only recently started looking for a Detonics and have found none in central Texas
Thanks Dennis
