Thanks to Conley for this tip: I am told that I need a slide with serial number lower than 5500 for a proper fit.

As before, please email or post reply if you have one. My original slide cracked at the muzzle during firing. Gun was passed down from my father and I would hate to have to retire it. Thanks.
