The bad thing about the assualt weapons ban being dropped is that now they are coming up with something worse! We lived with the ban for 10 years and all know how worthless it was. It hurts me to say it but it did have some good points. The NICS check was good in the fact that it took a level of liability off the hands of dealers and placed it on the government. Other than that I think the only thing it did was instantly drive up the price of SAMSAWs(Semi Auto Millitary Style Assualt Weapons)
