many-i've seen at least a hundred in the 11 years that i've been seriously collecting/carrying detonics-i have one in .45 and one in .38super, and have passed on at least 4 .38supers in the last 2 years, and as many .45's. but all in all you just don't see them-100 plus guns isn't too many-and the figures that i've seen for total production of ALL models of detonics is around 26,000 guns.
