the '68 gca put the lid on any weapons being released if not already possessed by CMP-these two pistols would never have gone to CMP-they would be stored somewhere or be destroyed if declared surplus-the only exception would be if they where issued to a general officer and then you would need the paper work to document this, including the bill of sale from US GOVT to the general officer.
