I would have to agree with Howard. Wolf or ISMI both make a great product, Unless you just want to keep the gun "original" then look at iether if those sources for springs. I have a Janus scoremaster but the original springs have LONG ago bit the dust. I have built a dozen or so 1911 type guns and never had any problems with the proper single springs in full sized guns, the compacts are a whole-nuther-ball-game. Lately I've been using the ISMI springs as they seem to stay consistent longer. Hope this helps
