I have had guns of all makes and some peened and some didn't. anyways it seemed to get to a certain point and then stop. Once it reached that point I just cleaned it up and then did as Rick, ingored it and it never got any worse. I had a Para-ord that was an exception, it had a bad slide that they replaced. I don't think that would be the problem w/ a Detonics. Of the three Combatmasters that I have 1 shows peening and they all get shot allot. My Score and Service show none at all. I wouldn't worry about it. I have to agree w/ Rick on your extractor. Any PROPERLY fitted 1911 extractor should work fine. It seems that the Wilson competion model has a little deeper hook than most and can be tuned a little better. The slide on Cambatmaster is moving so fast that if the extractor isn't fitted and tuned properly it will pull right off the lip and leave the case in the chamber. Hope this helps.
