It soundslike you're looking for a small carry gun with power. My daily gun is my MKVII in .451mag. I've replaced many of the steel parts with new "wonder plastic" and other alloy parts and managed to get the poundage down even more. For it's purpose I think the MKVII is a great carry gun. It does take practice to get proficient with it. I think they made a few of them in 9mm and 38super. I've had a comander size STI 9mm and it was a good gun except the hole in the end of barrel was too small!!! LOL
