I just bought a very early Combat Master MKI, serial # 2339. It's in very nice shape, is blue, has wooden checkered grips, dual spring recoil system, two-piece barrel, welded frame, arched mainspring housing, fixed sights, bobbed spur hammer and has the original blue magazing.
The magazine floorplate is stamped:
MADE IN
BY D&E USA
The USA stamped to the right of both lines in letters twice as large as 'made in'.
The right side of the frame just above the trigger is stamped:
DETONICS ASSOCS.
SEATTLE, WA.
2339
The left side of the slide centered above the take down notch is stamped:
DETONICS .45
Just above the slide release in letters half as large as 'DETONICS 45' is stamped:
PAT. PEND.
I think I stole it for $500, what's it worth? And no it's not for sale.
