Thanks for the hints, I was figuring I would have to make a slave pin and then push it out with the slide lock. Managed that but still got cold feet, didn't want to push out the slave pin and not have it come out, or worst, lost inside...UGHHHH

eventually got everything together like you suggested and guide still stuck out the front so I gently grabbed it with a padded pliers and turned the guide and it popped into place. Now out to go bang bang

Only have one factory mag. Tried a couple of standard 1911 and got jams looks like I will have to scrounge up a couple of factory mags for reliability.

Aren't new toys fun?
