Finally found and bought a 38 super combatmaster.

I am not sure it is all original however, because this is my first 38 super.

It looks like the slide was modified so a stake on night sight could be added to the front, the hammer seemed more like a commander spur type, and the inside of the slide around the extractor has been machined out in what seems to be a light weight mod. Both sides of the slide have been polished to a mirror like finish, and I don’t see any markings remaining on the sides. The slide also has the last four digits of the serial number engraved underneath it. The barrel looks excellent and this thing cycles sooo smooth.

I like the pistol very much, but I need to know how original it is, so I can decide on restoring it, or converting it into a 9x23 pocket rocket Devel.
