The Hyshks are great PD loads. The older ones were traveling at about 850FPS but now the new ones are around 950FPS. That is with a 230 grain slug. Standard 230gr ball ammo is normally around 800-850FPS so really any cheap 230gr ammo is going to be fairly close in recoil. If you shop around you might find some cheap ball ammo that is in the higher FPS range. Good luck and I hope this helps!
