It's my understanding that Detonics USA now has the new triple recoil spring sets in stock, and like Conley noted, is likely only a day or two away from puting them up on the website for sale. (You know, electric shopping cart, plastic money, etc). I'm told that the "real McCoy" springs are made from the same stainless spring alloy that the original Detonics used. They last for years and years. The set in my early 80's CombatMaster has withstood untold thousands of rounds and is still working just fine. With the triple set, even under full compression, there's enough room between the coils that the springs are not stressed beyond their elastic limits. Likely that's the reason Detonics dumped the 2-spring system for the 3-spring thing decades ago. Worth considering, eh?
