Hello- I have purchased a mk VI. I was hoping to get a few quetions answered. Can I replace the pachmayr mainspring housing with a ss one? I know it will need to be modified. I don't care for the rubber ones. Any way to find a detonics usa ss one ? If not, is this a tough mod for a gunsmith? I don't want to take a chance with reliability, so I'm not opposed to sticking with the original one if changing it out is a problem. Also, I prefer a longer trigger. Has anyone had experience using a 1911 trigger in their guns? I would also like to use a lower rear sight, like the mkV. Any suggestions? Will a mkV sight fit? Are they available from Numrich Arms? Will a 1911 fixed rear sight work? Lastly, what about +p. I know they are harder on the gun, but what about damage, and reliability? Thanks in advance, great forum. -smith
