A REAL GOOD 1911 smith can do the majority of the work required for a Combatmaster. There are some parts that are unique to the CM. Also there are some function issues that are unique to a CM. If the smith looks at it and says "WOW, never seen one of those before" Maybe steer clear. If they seem familiar with it then get references and see.... There are several EXCELLENT Combatmaster smiths around the country, but it would be mail order and probably expensive. What is wrong with your gun?
