I bought several guns from a fellow and I am going to sell or trade some of them; one of them is a Detonics.
The pistol was sold to me as new, and if it has been shot, it couldn't have been more than a few rounds, I beleive it to be new, but there isn't a box. It is blue with wood grips, 3.5" barrel, the hammer has a very distinct downward hook and it has a stainless magazine marked "Detonics .45 A.C.P." on the bottom. There are no markings on the left side of the frame, but the left side of the slide is marked "Detonics .45." No markings on the right side of the slide and the right of the frame reads:
"Detonics Assocs."
"Seattle, WA"
"I 65xx"
The barrel is unmarked.
I would guess that a 6500 SN range would make this an early gun, but I know nothing about Detonics. I should also note the the blue is more of a matte blue than a bright, polished blue, if that matters.
I can't think if any additional info to give on this piece, but if I have left out any pertinent info, let me know and I can check. Thanks much for any advice on what kind of price I should put on this piece.
