Date of MFG.

I have a Detonics that I bought about 1980.It is the simple one. It just says DETONICS .45 on the L. side of the frame. The # is I 48XX It came in a black, vinel sheepskin lined rug stamped DETONICS .45 on both sides. Is this of interest?
