I have a tig machine that I can easily weld razor blades with and have access to a heat precision heat treat oven. However as you said matching the metals exactly so they react the same is the tricky part. I have a Colt 38sup mag that I've been trying to find out what they made it out of with no luck and I hate to ruin one just to find out when I know that I can make it work w/ the right info.
