Make sure the gun is unloaded . . . Holding the gun in your right hand, retract the slide so that the smaller of the two notches on the left side of the slide is in alignment with the top-rear of the slide stop. The notch will allow you to push the slide stop out from right-to-left by pushing on the end of the slide stop pin that protrudes from the right side of the frame, just above the trigger. When you have the slide stop clear of the slide, let the slide run forward to take the spring pressure off of it, then remove the slide stop the rest of the way. Pull the slide/barrel/recoil spring unit off the frame. You can then pull the recoil spring unit out through the rear of the slide, and the barrel out through the front.
