Today is test day and many boats were running very fast on the new course throughout the afternoon under cloudy skies and threatening rain. Riveted was screaming down the beach leg of the course this afternoon and attracting increasing crowds of spectators. Nuff Respect, Alcone Motorsports, Zerodefect and La Grand Argentina all made spectacular runs. Drivers and throttlemen alike commented that the course is already getting a little bumpy, and wonder how much the sea state will change overnight.
Legendary throttleman Bobby Moore will be racing with his son for the first time in a major Superboat event on Sunday. Will Moore is slated to be at the helm of Nuff Respect tomorrow, filling in for Jim Robinson who is out of the country on business, while his famous father massages the throttles as they continue the team's quest for a world title.
The press room is quiet as the stage gets set for the main event tomorrow. Stay tuned to www.offshorepage.com for results as they become available.
