Everything except for the recoil springs, guide rod and plug can be made from 1911 and clone parts with enough patience and profanity, including slides, frames, barrels and magazines. That's how the very first ones were made. I'm sure that's not the answer you were looking for though.

All the small parts except for the 'grip safety/frame plug' and recoil assembly should work fine. Some may require the same level of minor fitting they would on any 1911 clone. The 'grip safety/frame plug' can be made by cutting and filing from some, but not all, 1911 parts. Some are just too thin where the cut gets made to shorten them to allow decent fitting into a Detonics frame.

It isn't all that hard to make the recoil spring guide rod from drill rod, a hand made saddle piece to ride on the slide stop axle and some silver-soldering if you're really in a bind. Be a lot easier if you could borrow one to use as a guide. The screw that keeps the assembly captive is just a button-head Allen stainless cap screw. It does have a Nylok insert in it, but a dab of blue Loctite would probably do the job about as well. I don't recall the screw's size, but it shouldn't be totally impossible to find. Length of the assembly with screw is critical though, with the gun in battery the screw should not contact the forward face of the recoil spring plug. As an alternative you could also revert to the cross-hole the first guns used as a disassembly aid.
